Subtitle Sync Fixer

Fix subtitle drift with two reference points. Corrects offset and framerate mismatch in SRT/VTT files.

SRT, VTT · Max 20 MB per file · Up to 1 files

Give the correct time for the first and last subtitle — the tool works out the offset and speed correction (e.g. a 23.976↔25fps mismatch) and applies it to every cue in between.

Fix subtitles that drift out of sync over the course of a video — not just a fixed offset, but a growing or shrinking gap, often caused by a framerate mismatch (e.g. 23.976 vs 25 fps). Give the correct time for the first and last line and the tool computes the exact speed and offset correction. Everything runs in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

What causes subtitles to drift instead of just being offset?

A framerate mismatch between the subtitle file and the video — for example subtitles timed for 25 fps played against a 23.976 fps video. The gap grows or shrinks the further into the video you go, rather than staying constant.

How does two-point sync work?

You tell the tool the correct time for the first subtitle and the correct time for the last one. It calculates a linear scale (speed) and offset from those two points and applies the same correction to every subtitle in between.

What if my subtitles are only offset, not drifting?

Use the simpler Shift SRT Subtitles tool — a single offset is faster to apply when the gap is the same throughout the video.

Is my file uploaded?

No — the sync correction runs entirely in your browser.
